APPLICATIONS:
PEX-AL-PEX Tubing is commonly used for radiant heating applications projects such as concrete slabs (wire mesh or rebar reinforced), thin slabs (non-reinforced), below the sub-floor heating (staple-up), sandwich type installations (between sub-floor and finished floor) and many others. Typical loop length for 1/2" PEX-AL-PEX varies from 250' to 350', depending of the application, supply temperatures, flow rates, etc. 300' is considered standard for typical concrete slab install.
COMPATIBILITY:
- PEX-AL-PEX tubing can be installed using compression style PEX Fittings of Press type system (fittings, sleeves and tools)
1" PEX AL PEX tubing is commonly used for installing outdoor wood furnaces, solar systems, in floor applications and plumbing uses.
PEX AL PEX is a tubing which has a layer of aluminum in it to prevent oxygen penetration. Plumbers like it because the pipe has a memory and stays where you bend it, a lot more like copper tubing.
